The LG Carnival is becoming a talk
of the African continent.
This time the grand Carnival moves on with all it's
splendour into Benin, in West Africa. The kick-off
on June 21 was organized by LG's sales partener Ms
Electro Hall Benin. The 7 day long Carnival, that
ended on June 28, was a huge success in Benin. Infact,
people are still talking about LG-Benin Carnival. |

Conference |
| The Press Conference was organized
at Electro Hall Benin showroom on June 21. Mr. Michael
Fadoul, Mr. Rajiv Sharma Service Manager West Africa
and Mr. Ramzi Dabaghi General Manager Electro Hall
were present to address the press on the auspicious
inauguration. Apart form Mr. Capo Chichi, Minister
of Youth, Republic of Benin, all major dailies, TV
and Radio channels were present to cover the event. |

Marathon |
| LG Marathon was the first event in
the row. The race that started at 7 am on June 22
was a run across the upcountry crossing 25 kilometers.
The weather was as usual hot and humid. However, nothing
could dominate the rising excitement. At the end of
the day, Mr Adelawa stood in the lead stand towering
over 110 odd participants with Dagan and Imporou on
either sides in the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. |

Martial Arts |
| LG Martial Arts competition started
at 5 pm on June 22. Martial Arts, Karate, Judo, Tae-Kwon-Do
and Kung-Fu tournaments saw a plethora of skills and
power demonstrated by 48 odd participants. While Steve
H was announced the champion in Martial Arts, Djahoui
emerged victorious in both Judo and Karate. On the
other hand Gannavi and Adama Ewassadja grabbed the
crowns in Tae-Kwon-Do and Kung-Fu. |

Training |
| Prompt and quality service has always
had a top priority in LG's agenda. To maintain the
technical quality and to upgrade themselves on the
latest international trends, Association of Technicians,
Benin, underwent a Technical Training by Mr. Rajiv
Sharma, Service Manager, West Africa on 23rd June-2003.
It was rewarding experience for many, who came out
with a bigger smile. |

Volley Ball |
| It was a great day in the indoor stadium
on July 25. Top teams in volleyball circuit clashed
for the prestigious LG Cup, in a tough tournament.
In the women's knock out league AOL lost to Nova while
Assaco beat UNB. In men's volleyball, Postel won over
UNB while Germaco lost to AOL. In the much-awaited
finals Assco emerged winners in women's league while
Postel snatched the cup in men's. |

Karaoke |
| The LG Karoke has been the most popular
among all the Carnival events. Targeted to catch the
amateur singer unawares, it catches up with people
on the streets, creating bonds through music. In Benin,
there were 19 participants on July 26. The African
rhythms that followed, was enough to turn the loication
to a disc. Strong rhythms and excellent performance
took Aboudo Rauf to the top, with Da Sylva and L Ohento
in second and third positions. |

Folk Dance |
| After the Karaoke, that is more hip
and happening, the Folk Dance on July 27 at Hotel
Sheraton, was a different experience. 4 different
groups performed in an exclusive show, the music and
dance of yesteryears. The forms that meant Africa
before civilization started evolving faster than arts.
It was great attempt by LG to relive the experience
through music and dance. |

Football |
| Football - a king of a game. And when
LG brings up a ball, it is a time for a ball. The
football tournament organized by LGE Africa on June
27, saw huge excitement as premium teams from Benin
were to clash in a knock-out league for the LG Cup.
Mogace FC lost to Dragon FC in first round and Soleil
FC won over Requin FC. In a close competed finals
Soleil FC won the prestigious LG Cup. |

Night |
| LG Night, the desert of the Carnival,
was held at Hotel Shereton in Benin on June 28. To
honour the night were present the Cuban and the Russian
Ambassadors in Benin, appreciating the local spirit
and LG's attempts to unify people through entertainment
and sports. And the unity was evident as everyone
present had a great time together. |

Exposition |
| Product Exposition, took place at Electro
Hall Benin showroom. On June 24. It was a delight
for the 120 people the city of Cotonou and it's Board
of Commerce, who had gathered to witness the launch.
Sleek designs, latest technologies and digital perfection
left the visitors amazed. For the people of Benin,
the world was never so much digitally theirs ! |
