LG Mauritania Carnival kicked off
on May 22 at various places throughout the
country and went on till June 4. The 14 day long carnival
attempted to generate
local involvement, which in turn enhanced higher brand
recall value for LG.
Tournaments like Basketball, Football and Petanque
generated huge response. |

Conference |
| Press conference for Mauritania Carnival
was held in LG Showroom at Top Technology. Around
50 guests, including all major news dailies, TV channels
and Radio were present. The press conference was a
great success as it fetched positive media response.

| LGE Africa organized two different
tournaments for the Adults and Children of Mauritania,
each containing 12 teams contesting against each other
between May 22nd and May 30th. In the adults semifinals
Chemsdine clashed with El Ittihad and won 3 - 1, while
on the other hand ASC Nasr beat Chinguitty FC by 2
- 0. The finals saw a packed stadium where Chinguitty
beat Chemsdine by 4 - 3. |

| LGE Africa organized Petanque tournament
on May 23, 24 and 25. 40 teams participated from all
Mauritania. Each team, composing of 3 players, set
the Petanque court on fire. Boules flew in high lobs
(la portee) and the half-lobs (la demi portee) flashed
across the grounds hitting the coche. The grand finale
was held between Radio Mauritania and Asecna where
the former won 13 ? 11, to win the LG Mauritania Petanque
Cup |

LGE Africa organized two different
basketball tournaments for Adults and Children from
May 29 to May 31. In the adults semi finals Douane
clashed with Panpa and won 75 ? 64, while on the other
hand Base TZ beat Nasr by 81 - 57. The finals saw
a packed stadium where Douane beat Base TZ by 78 ?
75.
The junior’s semi finals saw Douane winning over Ksar
by 65 ? 68 and Panpa loosing to Nasr by 47 ? 63. The
final was once again full of adrenalin, where, in
a closely contested match Nasr finally emerged champions
over Douanne by 60 ? 54. |

| LGE’s Social Marketing Event addressed
the public demands of for a cleanliness and health.
LG Electronics organized distribution of 100 packs
of medicine, in two big hospitals in Nouakchott on
May 25 and June 3. This was another social cause to
which LGE Africa stood up to. Such activities goes
on to build brand goodwill and increases brand recall
value among the mass.
Again on June 3 and 4 LG began the clean Africa
with 96 eager and cheerful scouts from Mauritania,
assisted by the Mayor and The Governor of Tevragh
Zeina. The two day cleanliness drive was a demand
from the children for a better tomorrow, and none
could ignore it. LG feels proud and obliged to be
a part of the cause. The drive was covered by all
major news dailies. |

Night |
| LG Night was the sweet topping on the
Mauritania carnival. It was a gathering of the dealers
and the press in an attempt to foster brotherhood
among the three sectors. More than 110 dealers and
all major news representatives attended the gala LG
Night on June 4th. It's needless to mention here that
it was a great success. LG gathered in goodwill and
contact through this eventful night. |
